Strathfield. Sydney Korean Uniting church.




As the courses consist of alternating headers and stretchers, the brick is arranged according to English bond and stretcher bond with iron mortar joints. The surface are rough and smooth.
Bricks are of a standard 110x76x230 Colours vary between red, purple and brown, which contribute to the building’s distinctive and decorative facade.

Purpose made semi-circular arch has decorated main door and windows.

145 Harrington St. Patrick's church



This beautiful church is using Flemish bond with rake mortar joints.
The surface texture is rough.
The external wall is formed light yellow and red tones bricks.
The building contains three storeys.
A standard 110x76x230 bricks have been used structurally and they are in good condition.
3 5-ring semicircular arches are around doorway. The intrados are specially made bricks.
Splay-stretcher and splay-header combine into building's bottom.

545 Kent St. Sanctuary hotel





The building is using Flemish bond and rake motar joints. The surface texture is rough. The wall is mainly combined with variations of colour range. Specially above window, white bricks and red tones brick are harmonized. The building contains six storey. A standard 110x76x230 bricks have been used structurally and they are in good condition. Segmental arch play decorative role above windows. this building would have been constructed through a reinforced concrete structure.

39 Liverpool St. Commerce building





This massive 5 storey building would have been constructed through a reinforced concrete structure, and therefore the brickwork plays a non-structural purpose.
The bricks are arranged in a English bond with flush mortar joints.
Bricks are of a standard 110x76x230 size, arranged various colours, and smooth surfaces.

Actually, the building have many decorative form : Dark blue bricks and red bricks for double flemish bond style, and there are many kinds of corbel terms. Corbel, bullnose and headers form around doorway.

15 Adelaide St. Holy cross presbytery church



This church have an stretcher bond with struck mortar joint. This building is in quiet good condition and its surface is smooth. Bricks used are of a standard 110x76x230 with colours ranging between red and blue tones.
Main entrance to the church : 6 rings semicircular arches stepped in. The intrados are made of bricks.
Herring-bone pattern form external floor.
Dog-toothing style which made of cut bricks form edge of the building

123 Old south head Rd. Units



The bricks have an stretcher bond style with rake joints.

This building characterised abundance of decorative brickwork with load-bearing brick walls.

The surface texture is rough and colours range from orange, red to navy tones.

This building(brickworks) is in good condition.

As you can see, this building's edge consist of angular form and round form of bricks.

Another used decorative point is herring-bone pattern. (4th photo)

55 George St. Old Sydney holiday inn





This Old Sydney holiday inn has a stretcher bond and flush joint.
The remarkable thing is brick on edge(BOE) term over windows and soldier course on the top of the building. And these bricks used wide range of colour.(yellow, brown, blue and so on.)

On ground level, the brickwork below window has a stretcher bond made of splay-header bricks.

49 Druitt St. V club



This massive building is using Flemish bond and rake motar joints.
The surface texture is smooth.
The wall is combined with variations of colour range such as gold, red, orange and dark puple, and concrete.
The building contains four storey with concrete framing windows and entrances.
And there are herring-bone pattern for decoration.
A standard 110x76x230 bricks have been used structurally.

This building is English-Bond style with flush joints, and characterized by the plain red-brown smooth brickwork.
It also features an abundance of decorative brickwork along with load-bearing brick walls.
It used purposed-made circular arch for decorating aroud clock.
Another impressed decoration is corbels that supports upside platform.

Between two levels, dark bricks makes linear space.
Above each window, there are segmental arch and ornamental corbel.

369 Pitt St. Mandarinclub This huge building made in smooth surface bricks combine with reinforced concrete(supported windows).
The bricks have been laid in a colonial bond with flush mortar joints.
The column was made by cutting both edges was interesting..and created a flowing transition effect between the mixed 'red' and 'blue' bricks.
This parts of building is quiet interesting. it looks like chain which consist of numerous double bullnose.
